The Roadie is a mini version of the Road Tripster Tote and is such a great size. It will quickly become your favorite go-to for an every day bag. The Roadie has many of your favorite features from it's larger sibling (like all of those pockets!), but includes some extra goodies like a recessed zipper option and a bottle sleeve.

Suggested material for the exterior: Cotton, canvas, cork, or vinyl
Suggested material for the interior: Cotton woven or waterproof canvas

Material

  • Exterior (1/2 yard)
  • Liningl (1/2 yard)
  • Accent material (1/4 yard) optional. Can also use exterior material.
  • Interfacing  (depending on fabric chosen; see cutting chart) - Woven (SF101 or equivalent), Decovil Light (or equivalent), Decovil Heavy (10” x 2” strip for base)
  • 1” Strap Webbing - If making 2 fixed straps, 56” length (2 at 28” each); If making 1 adjustable strap, 60” length

Hardware

  • Zipper, #5 size- 6.5”, (2) 8”, 13” (1 yard if using zipper tape; sub-cut as noted, will have .5” left over); 4 zipper pulls
  • 1/2” d-ring or lobster clasp
  • 8mm double cap rivets (4-10, per your preference)
  • If making the crossbody strap, will need: (2) 1” D-ring/Triangle Rings, (2) 1” Lobster Clasps, and (1) 1” Adjuster Bar

Finished Dimensions

Approximately 11.5” wide x 7.5” high (not including handle straps) with a 3" base

You will receive a PDF with step-by-step directions with coordinating color photos. Full scale pattern pieces are also included. Please note that some pattern pieces may be too large for a standard cutting machine so SVGs are not available for this pattern.
