About Us
Kathy Caudill
I'm the owner and creative mind behind K.dill Handmade. I come from a long line of sewists. My own journey has taken me from clothing to quilting and paper piecing, but it wasn't until I made my first bag in 2018 that I felt I found my calling. I love the creativity of bag-making as well as the satisfaction that comes from being able to make something exactly how I want. In 2021, I released my first bag-related pattern. My focus is on creating patterns that are fun to make and have easy to follow instructions. I want you to be able to just enjoy the process of making and finish with bag and a big smile that says, "Wow, I can't believe I made that."
I currently live just south of Nashville, TN with my husband, two kids, and our rescue pup, Guinness.

I worked in the medical field for most of my adult life. Had my second child and became a stay at home mom. Best job in the entire world! I began my journey of sewing. Making quilts to bags. I love this community. I started my own YouTube channel in 2023. I enjoy helping others achieve success. I enjoy learning things. I am a risk taker. I am always up for a challenge in sewing. I'm a busy mom of 2 kids and a full time project manager at a well known financial company. But in my free time and as a way for me to relieve stress, I started sewing purses about 7 years ago. I'm a wife, mother and recently a Grandma. I started sewing clothing when I was 18. At first it was a necessity and then it turned into something I loved to do. Along the way I made a lot of Halloween costumes for my son, from Barney the Dinosaur to a Harry Potter wizard cape. Making bags didn't start until 2011. During COVID I took numerous Zoom workshops which enhanced my bag making skills. Sewing is definitely my happy place! I love being part of K.dill Handmade's Team.
