Sewing Feet (varies by machine; photos show examplesfor a Juki TL high shank machine)

  • Standard / Narrow Foot

    This is your basic sewing foot.

  • Walking Foot

    Lifts and lowers to feed the fabric though as it is being stitched.

  • Teflon / Non-stick Foot

    Coated and specifically designed to glide over sticky tacky materials.

  • Zipper Foot

    Used to stitch very close to the teeth of a zipper; can also be used for cording/piping.

Troubleshooting

  • Foot Pressure

    Determines how firmly the foot pushes the fabric against the feed dogs. Reference the video for where you can find this setting and how to adjust it.

  • Thread Tension

    Fix thread tension issues (looping below the fabric or bottom thread pulling up to the topside) Reference the video for how to adjust the tension.
